In questo fine settimana la serie Europa del Ferrari Challenge approda sul circuito del Mugello per il suo terzo appuntamento stagionale. Il tracciato toscano, di proprietà della Casa di Maranello dal 1988, è considerato uno dei più belli d’Europa e rappresenta ormai un appuntamento fisso per il monomarca Ferrari che vi torna ogni anno nel corso della stagione e che nel novembre scorso l’ha scelto come sede delle sue ultime Finali Mondiali, lo speciale evento che ha riunito in pista tutte le principali attività del Dipartimento Corse Clienti. Con i suoi 5245 metri che culminano nel lungo rettilineo d’arrivo, il Mugello rappresenta una sfida tecnica interessante per piloti e vetture iscritte all’appuntamento, offrendo uno spettacolo anche per gli appassionati di motori che possono godere dell’intenso programma agonistico dalla nuova tribuna centrale.  Saranno ben quarantuno i piloti sulla griglia di partenza, iscritti alle categorie del Trofeo Pirelli e della Coppa Shell, impegnati dal venerdì nelle prove libere a cui seguiranno sabato le sessioni di qualifiche, mentre la giornata di domenica sarà interamente dedicata alle competizioni. Tra le attività sono inoltre previste alcune sessioni dedicate ai clienti Ferrari che potranno così cimentarsi al volante delle loro vetture nello speciale programma ‘Emozioni in pista’, offrendo al pubblico presente l’opportunità di ammirare dal vivo numerosi esemplari della Gamma. Alla vigilia dell’appuntamento la lotta è apertissima in tutte le categorie: la classifica del Trofeo Pirelli vede al comando il tedesco Bjorn Grossmann (Ferrari Moscow) che, con i suoi 67 punti, condivide la vetta con  Niki Cadei, in coppia al Mugello con Lorenzo Casè sulla 458 Challenge di Motor/Piacenza. Terzo con 41 lunghezze, Alessandro Balzan di Ferrari Moscow che, dopo aver esordito nel precedente round di Imola, si è sin da subito imposto tra i protagonisti del campionato. Il primato in Coppa Shell spetta ad un altro pilota del team Ferrari Moscow, Alexey Basow, che guida la classifica con 58 punti, seguito con un distacco di soli due punti da Raffaele Giannoni (Motor/Piacenza) e di sei da Giacomo Stratta (Forza Service).  Ferrari Moscow protagonista anche nella Coppa Giovani con Alexander Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow), mentre il primato nella Coppa Gentleman è saldamente nelle mani di Fons Scheltema, (Kessel Racing). Le gare del Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli verranno trasmesse in Italia da SKY Sport mentre all’estero godranno di una copertura televisiva in oltre sessanta paesi.

Dopo il grande successo di audience televisivo ottenuto per la tappa internazionale di Donington Park, la Rai conferma la fiducia nei confronti dell’appassionante Serie organizzata da FG GROUP con i suoi “LIVE” su RAI SPORT 1 e RAI SPORT 2 per il tanto atteso weekend sul circuito del Mugello. RAI SPORT si attesta ufficialmente “partner televisivo” della seguitissima Serie offrendo ai numerosi fan un ricco palinsesto di emozioni.
Tutto pronto per le dirette di domenica 3 giugno con la partenza della SUPERSTARS SERIES, con Gara 1 Live su RAI SPORT 2 dalle ore 11.05 che vede confermati in griglia i numerosi piloti ex F.1 e passaggio alla diretta su RAI SPORT 1 dalle ore 16.20 per quanto riguarda Gara 2 con la replica alle ore 20.30 su RAI SPORT 2.
Semaforo verde anche per i bolidi della GTSPRINT con collegamento a Gara 1 “live” a partire dalle ore 8.50 su RAI SPORT 2 e a seguire il secondo dei due appuntamenti “As Live” dalle ore 19.30. Il 15 luglio il Mondiale farà tappa al Mugello, per il Gran Premio d'Italia TIM, l'appuntamento più importante del calendario sportivo del circuito. Che cosa rappresenta per Valentino Rossi questo evento? "Il Gran Premio d'Italia è sempre qualcosa di speciale. Per la pista, una delle più belle di tutto il mondiale; per l'atmosfera che si respira con tutti i tifosi che qui hanno la possibilità di vivere emozioni davvero uniche. Il Mugello, insomma, è casa mia e quindi ci torno sempre molto volentieri. Poi tutti gli anni al Mugello c'è sempre qualcosa di nuovo, di speciale. Come l'anno scorso quando davanti ai box ci siamo trovati la nuova tribuna."
Nella sessione di prove che lo hanno visto protagonista al Mugello - 131 le tornate effettuate, per una distanza superiore ai 5 GP - Rossi ha anche notato un'ulteriore novità per il prossimo GP.
"In questi giorni di test ho visto che all'Arrabbiata 2 è stata realizzata una nuova tribuna da dove si può seguire un lungo tratto di circuito e sopratutto le due Arrabbiata, curva fra le più belle di tutto il motomondiale. Io lì mi diverto un sacco e sono sicuro che sarà così per tutti quelli che verranno al Mugello il 15 luglio".

Rossi & Hayden took to the track at around 2:00 p.m., and they continued testing until it closed at about 6:15. They were looked after by their respective teams, headed by Jeremy Burgess and Juan Martinez and by Team Manager Vittoriano Guareschi. Test rider Franco Battaini and the Ducati Test Team, headed by Filippo Preziosi, were also present, having started on Tuesday. Valentino Rossi completed 55 laps, Nicky Hayden 52, as they began their work on various configurations of the chassis, engine and electronics. Sunny day for Rossi & Hayden. The two Ducati riders started at 1 p.m. their job. The track is dry and it is possible to test in a hot day after a rainy morning.

From Tuesday to Thursday, as you have heard this afternoon, just from Italia Uno Tv from the voice of Valentino Rossi, Ducati will make a three-day test. The Mugello Circuit is the test track where the Italian factory develops his bikes for tracks and for those who are their natural target,  customers and fans from al over the world. The tests will take place, as always, behind closed doors.

From this year the turn 'Arrabbiata' host a new grandstand that will be ready at the Grand Prix of Italy TIM of 15 July. From Thursday 17 to Sunday, May 20 big bike activity with Promoracing that organizes the Premier National Cup in 2012 (see attached file), the event which combines days of practice open to all,  the second shift going to group the participants according to a homogeneity in the times and displacements. As far as the Premier National Cup - Mugello dispute that his second trial - there is to say that not many trophies that can boast prize money of equal magnitude to those of the Premier 2012 with a total prize pool of remarkable figure of 40,680 euros distributed among the various classifications. Ben 14,880 euros prize money for the general classification, to be distributed to the top 5 riders of each of the four classes which make up the trophy, while the figure amounts to 4,000 euros that the first 3 in each class will share the Premier standings helmets.
